ABOUT MICHAEL GRODNER: Michael Grodner makes music videos and branded content. His work receives regular shout-outs from MTV2 and MTVU, and has appeared at world-wide festivals such as the Brighton Festival (UK), Synch Festival (Athens, Greece) and the Indie Pop Film Test in Newport Kentucky where his video, Brazil's “Escape” captured Best Music Video. He's directed videos for Cursive, Chiodos, Kill Me Tomorrow, The Human Abstract, The Briggs , Planes Mistaken For Stars, Sabertooth Tiger, Women And Children, and the Black Kites. Recent Highlights: – The Human Abstract's “Vela, Together We Await The Storm” recently had its world premiere on MTV2's Headbangers Ball. – Cursive's “Dorothy at Forty” was named one of the Top Ten Subterranean (MTV2) Music Videos of the Year. – “Dorothy at Forty” was also named MTVU's Favorite Comeback Kid Video of the Year. THE ICARUS LINE: Adark dramatic narrative set against the backdrop of the current LA underground music scene, will be released theatrically in June 2018 with a July home entertainment release in the U.S. The story of Cardamone as he navigates his way through the ups and downs of the modern music landscape with a new album and a major label deal in sight, while trying to keep his band, his relationship and his life from falling apart. The Icarus Line were notorious during the early 2000s, touring and tearing up the world with their brand of Birthday Party-style chaos. Picking fights with bands like the Strokes – Cardamone, a member of the Buddyhead collective once spray-painted ‘Sellouts Suckn Dicks’ on the side of their tourbus – and smashing up Stevie Ray Vaughn’s guitar at SXSW – the band lived fast.
