People lose interest and about eight to 12 seconds. So how do you battle this in long form live video? Well changing the visual and causing a visual disruption can help grab and keep attention in restream you can use tools like graphics, layouts and captions to shake things up on the fly. And I'm gonna show you how.
Hey friends, my name is Marielou Mandl. In this video, I'm going to show you how to use captions in restream studio to cause slick looking visual disruptions to highlight important information and keep your audience's attention. Keep them keep on watching, shake things up.
Here we are in re stream studio right over here you can see there are tabs for captions and for graphics. Now in captions, this is where you can create, edit, and activate your captions like this.
Then see, there are a bunch of different captions that you can create, you can use it to help you keep on track with your show.
If you have an outline, you can use all of the top of line points, you can do your guest names, your name, social handles, show name, and you can even do real time updates.
In your captions tab you will see the option to create a new caption you have your primary text and your secondary text. So just enter those and then press Add caption.
to update your caption here and click on the three dots had to edit and make your changes. Once you press Save, they will be the new caption and then you can bring that up on the screen. Yay.
When you head over to the graphics tab, you can even change the colors and the shapes of your captions. Pretty cool. As you can see, it is very easy to bring in your captions or send them away just by hovering over the caption and clicking show.
Alright, now you are ready to use captions in restream studio. Another way to cause a visual disruption in restream studio is by changing your layout. But that's for another video.
